Since 2015, the Innovation & Collaboration Centre has supported early-stage startups through providing workspace, mentoring and funding. Read more about our staff and our startups.

The Innovation & Collaboration Centre is home to Venture Catalyst and the state's first space incubator program Venture Catalyst Space. These programs are designed to help founders start their business.

The ICC holds regular feature events on a range of cutting-edge topics for the ICC community and the public, community events for ICC startups, industry experts and other close partners and affiliates, and internal events exclusively for ICC startups.

GroundZero Space

GroundZero Space (GZS) enhances space operations to address growing orbital threats through a modular and scalable Space Situational Awareness (SSA) sensor network. It’s AI-native architecture and real-time analytics power a robust communications infrastructure for timely decision making. Founded by aerospace professionals Sai Vallapureddy and Dr. Kathiravan Thangavel, GZS delivers critical Space Domain Awareness (SDA), Satellite Communication (SatCom), and comprehensive operational solutions to satellite operators, defence agencies, and space stakeholders.

GZS will track and analyse over 130,000 orbital objects with high precision. Their interconnected and rapid response architecture ensures continuous monitoring and swift operational adjustments to evolving space conditions.

  • 24/7 AI-powered tracking facilitates Space Traffic Management and protects your orbital assets
  • Real-time collision alerts with rapid response prevent costly mission failures
  • Predictive maintenance alerts extend satellite lifespan & maximise ROI
  • Unified platform combines satellite tracking, communication & risk management.

GZS uses a combination of ground and space-based sensors to monitor objects orbiting Earth. The system delivers enhanced Resident Space Objects (RSO) detection, tracking, identification, classification, characterisation, collision prediction with rapid response potential. The system works for both civilian and defence applications, offering better operational reliability. Sensor deployment begins with ground-based sensors, scales globally, and expands to satellites for comprehensive orbital coverage.

The primary markets include satellite operators, national space and defence agencies. The secondary market is space insurance/risk assessment, launch services, satellite communications and downstream analytics providers. Emerging markets include space traffic management, sustainability services, autonomous operations, and cis-lunar/deep space missions.

GZS seeks hardware collaborations and mission management software partnerships to enhance their technology stack. They are actively pursuing research co-development, government pilot programs, early-stage VC partnerships, and satellite manufacturer integrations for embedded SSA capabilities.
