Precision Digital Health Platform was founded by Dr Michelle King-Okoye while pursuing her PhD in Health Sciences. Conducting research with communities greatly impacted by cancer and chronic diseases - whose voices are under-reported – highlighted the urgent need for this social enterprise. This company is first of its kind with a mission focused on empowering marginalised voices through culturally safe and tech-enabled solutions.
The technology is built around AI algorithms, which were informed by and generated from empirical research capturing the lived cancer experiences of culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities. This enables personalised symptom appraisal, interpretation and tracking, while providing culturally appropriate support resources to facilitate early diagnosis and treatment. Natural Language Processing (NLP) ensures language adaptation that is culturally sensitive, and a cloud-based infrastructure supports data security, telehealth and digital integration, and scalability.
The potential markets are local and international community organisations, health-focused institutions and charities. These include a refugee and migrant centre to meet the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
Precision Digital Health is globally focused and seeking partnerships with multi-cultural community organisations, health and cancer institutions in Australia, the United Kingdom, the Caribbean and developing countries. Currently, there are organisations that have expressed their desire to partner with Precision Digital Health based on a shared vision.
