An incubator and an accelerator

Our Venture Catalyst programs have been specially curated to assist you in developing your idea, proving the viability of the concept, and steering you on path to commercial success across many industries including space, general and social enterprise.

For startups at the ICC, our program features include:

Incubator

As a resident of the ICC, you receive the following incubation services:

University resources

The ICC provides access to office space at our co-working space in either the Adelaide CBD or Whyalla, along with facilitating access to the University of South Australia’s support services, including research projects, internship placements, business clinics, library services and market research.

Industry experts

You will have access to a pool of global industry experts, along with our experts in residence at the Innovation & Collaboration Centre. These range from career professionals, startup founders, CEOs and accelerator experts whose experiences and advice will provide integral insight while you are building your idea.

ICC community

The Innovation & Collaboration Centre runs regular activities for you to become immersed in our supportive community, one that’s focused on building resilience, growing startups and creating opportunities. These events allow startup founders to have open conversations about their learnings and provide space for group discussion. You will also receive invitations to networking and industry events, many of which feature key members of the startup community.

Accelerator

Along with incubation services, if your startup is part of one of our accelerator programs, you receive the following acceleration services:

Workshops

Within the program, you will receive a series of tailored capability workshops with dedicated pitch and feedback sessions. These sessions are designed specifically for founders, and will allow for you to learn how to accelerate growth for your startup and set you up for success.

Mentoring

You will receive one-on-one coaching sessions to support the implementation of what has been covered in your workshops, as well as informing which workshop your startup needs next. These sessions are delivered by experts in startup growth.

Funding

For eligible startups within our programs, you can receive a stipend of $10,000 to assist in developing your startup.

Additional features

100% equity-free

All of our programs are 100% equity-free, which means that you retain all of your equity and intellectual property as a participant.

Amazon Web Services

As a member of the Amazon Web Services program, our startups are eligible for USD $10,000 in AWS Promotional Credits valid for two years, 80 credits for self-paced labs and 24x7 access to AWS Cloud Support Engineers up to 1 year (USD $1,500).

Business development

With support from the ICC team, startups receive advice and guidance to develop their idea. This can include guidance on award applications, grant submissions and fundraising.
