Programs
The Innovation & Collaboration Centre is home to Venture Catalyst and the state's first space incubator program Venture Catalyst Space. These programs are designed to help founders start their business.
The ICC is excited to announce the next cohort of Venture Catalyst participants Festivally, Hairy As, ID8R, Calm-Vax, ScanDi and eDon.
This month they embarked on their intensive six-month accelerator program designed to take these businesses to market sooner during this vital growth stage. It is great to have a new group of innovative entreprenuers join our ICC community.
Congratulations to Harrison Box, who has been selected as a member of the SA government's Force Forty program! Harrison will work alongside another 39 young leaders to help make South Australia a launchpad for other talented, innovative, and inspring leaders.
The AICRAFT team has announced a partnership with Perth based Space Angel and Adelaide based SABRN Tech to integrate their low power, compact and high performance computer systems. AICRAFT’s technologies will support the Australian Space Super Corridor, the world’s first green space port developed by Space Angel, and E-LifePods developed by SABRN Tech.
And finally, ICC alumni 114AI has entered into a new cooperative research and development agreement between the US Space Force and 3rd Itech. This is the first agreement of its type with non-US companies, and the ICC is super proud that it included one of our alumni.
Congratulations to the Metaspectral team who as recent graduates of the Venture Catalyst Space program have landed $690k in funding for their clean energy project, "Quantification and monitoring systems for carbon management using hyperspectral imagery".
Our latest Venture Catalyst and Global Pathways program participants met just some of the ICC’s industry experts at University of South Australia’s Enterprise Hub recently with a speed greeting, networking extravaganza. It is quite a proud moment to see so many Venture Catalyst alum listed in SA's hottest startups and scale ups of 2023!
A huge congratulations to Paladin Space, Robinson Aerospace Systems, AICRAFT and Team 3, the four SA based Venture Catalyst Space companies from this years cohort, for being recognised amongst the hottest startups of this year.
Meanwhile TCPinpoint (VC alum 2016), Val.Ai (VC alum 2019/2020) and eologix - ping (VCS alum 2018) have been recognised for the incredible work they have done in scaling the growth of their startups.
Congratulations to these amazing founders and their teams.
Deputy Director: Business Incubation Craig Jones was lucky to attend the International Astrological Congress 2023 in Baku. It was a whirlwind of some of the most incredible minds within the space community.
Seeing QL Space have the opportunity to discuss their time within the Venture Catalyst Space program at this platform was a great moment.
This month we celebrated World Space Week with the very fitting theme for the ICC - “Space and Entrepreneurship”. Through this theme the UN is aiming to recognise the growing significance of the commercial space industry in space, and the increasing opportunities for space entrepreneurship and new benefits of space developed by space entrepreneurs.
With the multitude of technologic advancements bringing down some of the barriers to market, it is now possible for a small business to build and launch a small satellite, and for entrepreneurs to create valuable new data products for governments and industry.
