From his time running the advertising company ‘Crafted’, Up&Up founder Austin Lovell found the most effective marketing strategy for e-commerce brands was to create scroll-stopping online content that grabs the attention of relevant and quality customers. Advertising costs are rising, and ad platforms are increasingly competitive.
Up&Up work with direct-to-consumer (DTC) e-commerce companies to create viral videos of their products floating more than 30 kilometres in the atmosphere, suspended via a high-altitude balloon. The footage is then edited by Up&Up and sent back to the customer. The custumer can use this video content in their online advertising campaigns. Video, compared to static images, is preferred by social media algorithms, and produces a higher conversion rate.
Up&Up’s three-phase ‘Lift Off’ process simplifies the process of launching a customer’s viral marketing campaign. E-commerce brands send Up&Up their product. Up&Up then secure these products to a high-altitude balloon, which is then launched into space. The launch is captured by video equipment which can withstand extremely low temperatures. The team’s editors optimise the content and prepare it for use on the customer’s paid ad campaign channels, such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and more. Ultimately, the video content of a consumer product being launched into space, and floating above earth, is unique, engaging and eye-catching to online consumers.
Up&Up exist to serve DTC e-commerce brands; those that are selling consumer packaged goods that are relatively low weight, allowing Up&Up to send the products to the edge of space easily.
Up&Up are looking to partner with DTC e-commerce brands looking to create their first, or next, viral marketing campaign.
