Venture Catalyst Social Enterprise
Do you have an idea that could change the world for the better? A business that works to tackle social problems, improve communities, provide people with access to employment and training, or help the environment?
The Innovation & Collaboration Centre (ICC) is excited to announce that they have officially opened their applications for the Venture Catalyst Social Enterprise program, supported by the Pank family.
Open to current UniSA students, staff or Alumni-led teams, the Venture Catalyst Social Enterprise program is your one-way ticket to accelerating your social enterprise business.
This includes a stipend of $10,000, a series of mentoring and group sessions, access to workspace in a modern co-working environment based within the ICC in Adelaide or Whyalla, access to a global pool of expert advisers and more. Check out all that the program offers.
We are seeing an upward trend in founders who are innovating in areas that have purpose and societal impact” says Jasmine Vreugdenburg, Director of the Innovation & Collaboration Centre.
“With support from the Pank family, the ICC is again excited to open applications for our Social Enterprise program. Now more than ever is the time to be supporting innovation with social enterprises working to solve problems that will change how society thinks, behaves, lives, and does business”.
Katie Gloede from Sport Tech Learn was the recipient of the Venture Catalyst Social Enterprise program in 2020 and has since found opportunities and success in her social enterprise that she found was not accessible elsewhere.
“Running Sport Tech Learn through UniSA’s Venture Catalyst Social Enterprise program at the Innovation & Collaboration Centre has allowed for my business to grow so we can achieve our goal of changing the lives of children and their consideration of future careers in STEM,” says Katie Gloede, Founder of Sport Tech Learn.
Since Katie’s participation in the program, she has won the 2020 Winnovation Award for Maths & Data and has secured a contract worth $6.5k with the Adelaide City Council to pilot her Smart Soccer School Holiday program.
“I was able to be connected with invaluable industry connections, fellow startups who understood my journey, and a detailed educational program that taught me the practical skills to elevate Sport Teach Learn to the next level of our startup. Anyone wanting to scale their social enterprise needs to head to the ICC as they provide help you won’t find anywhere else.”
If you’re looking to take your social enterprise to the next level, apply for UniSA’s Venture Catalyst Social Enterprise program.
