In early November, SA company Resonate won a prestigious Impact Award, beating other finalists to win the top gong which recognised exceptional capability for a fast-moving South Australian company competing at a global level.
The award rounds off a hugely successful year for the company who were ranked as one of Australia’s most innovative by the Australian Financial Review, opening its second international office in the US and launching new spin-out company Ping Services (part of the ICC’s Venture Catalyst Space program) across Europe, US and Asia Pacific.
Resonate was set up seven years ago and is a leading provider of specialist consulting services, including acoustics, vibration, structural dynamics, air quality, lighting impact assessments and electromagnetic fields across Australia.
The Resonate family has 40 staff in offices around Australia, Ireland and the United States. Spin out companies include Resonate Systems, who design and build custom software extracting meaning from a range of physical processes and Ping Services, a technology service platform solving industry problems using acoustic principles.
Ping Services has recently gained international recent media attention for its product ping monitor which detects wind turbine blade damage. The device is a world first in allowing users to monitor blade health continuously and is currently being commercialised and has achieved first sales.
